The largest recreational area of Warsaw’s Ochota district: a lake with piers, playgrounds, an outdoor gym, open-air pools in summer — and in the middle Górka Szczęśliwicka, the highest point of Warsaw, with a gravity coaster and a ski slope. See what to do in the park in every season.
Szczęśliwicki Park is the largest recreational area in this part of Warsaw. You will find wide paths perfect for walks, running and roller skating, a lake with piers, playgrounds for children of different ages and an outdoor gym. In summer there are also open-air pools.
Right next to the park you have the Stara Kuźnia restaurant and the Stacja Grawitacja trampoline park — so it is easy to turn a park visit into a full family day.
In the middle of the park rises Górka Szczęśliwicka — the highest point of Warsaw (152 m above sea level, about 40 m above the park), piled up after the war from the rubble of the city. The summit offers a panorama with the Palace of Culture and the Wola skyline, and access by paths and stairs is open to everyone.
The hillside is home to a ski slope where we run our classes — the full offer is on the Górka Szczęśliwicka page, and the history, slope parameters and trivia are in the guide to the hill.
The park’s biggest attraction is the gravity coaster — a downhill track laid on the hillside, with two-person cars in which you control the speed yourself with a brake. Younger children can ride with a parent.
The coaster runs from spring to autumn, regardless of the ski-slope renovation — a safe bet for most of the year.
The wide, even paths of Szczęśliwicki Park are one of the best roller-skating spots in Warsaw. In summer our Zone4Rollin brand runs classes here — from lessons to day camps.
In winter the park turns into Warsaw’s nearest “ski resort”: on the slope of the hill we teach skiing (including children) and snowboarding, and during the school break we run winter day camps.
Note: in the 2025/2026 season the slope is closed for modernisation (new lifts, snowmaking and lighting) — skiers return in the 2026/2027 season. Details are on the reopening page, and the live camera gives a real-time view.
The park lies in the Ochota district, between Grójecka, Bitwy Warszawskiej 1920 r., Szczęśliwicka and Drawska streets. The centre by the hill (ticket office, rental, our meeting points) is at ul. Drawska 22.
Detailed directions — by public transport, by car (and where to park) and by bike — are on the getting there page.
