Q: What if the weather is bad?

The slope is covered with dry-slope matting and, in winter, additionally snowed artificially — we ride even without snow. In passing rain lessons go ahead as normal; only in heavy rain or when the slope is closed do we reschedule the lesson free of charge.

Snowboarding from scratch

Górka Szczęśliwicka is the perfect place for your first steps on a board — the gentle gradient and button lift let you focus on technique without stress.

One-on-one lessons
The instructor devotes their full attention to you and matches the pace to your progress.
We teach from zero
The correct stance, sliding on one edge, turns and speed control.

What does a lesson look like?

Snowboarding can be demanding at the start, but progress comes quickly.

Warm-up and gear
We start with a warm-up and getting comfortable with the board and boots.

Exercises at your level
Then exercises matched to your level — from stance to the first turns.

Riding on your own
After a few lessons most students ride down and turn both ways on their own.

In summer we train on the dry-slope mat, in winter on the snow-covered slope — the technique is the same.

Children and adults

Who is it for?

Children from age 7
For younger ones we recommend skiing first — they can move to a board later.
Skate, surf, wakeboard?
Prior experience with board sports — longboard too — speeds up the learning.

Equipment

Boards, boots and helmets in a full size range — rented for the duration of the lesson with an instructor, and for trips and longer rentals.

We fit the gear on site — you do not need your own.
We do not rent clothing
Prepare warm, waterproof clothes and gloves.
Goggles and guards
Goggles are useful on sunny days or in heavy snowfall. Wrist guards are worth bringing too.

Frequently asked questions

From what age can you start learning to snowboard?

We recommend snowboarding from the age of 7. Younger children usually find it easier to start with skiing and move to a board later.

Is snowboarding harder than skiing?

At first snowboarding can be more demanding (more falls on day one), but progress comes quickly. After a few lessons most students ride down and turn on their own.

Do I need to have my own equipment?

No. We have our own rental — boards, boots and helmets in a full size range. Equipment is rented for the duration of the lesson and for trips and longer periods. We do not rent clothing.
