Technique and gate training at Górka Szczęśliwicka — on the dry slope and on snow, after the slope reopens in the 2026/2027 season. Led by staff with competition experience. Groups are in preparation — we are collecting sign-ups.
Górka Szczęśliwicka is the only ski slope within Warsaw — a natural place for regular slalom training without leaving the city. The dry-slope surface and artificial snowmaking allow gates to be set on snow, with training continuing on the dry slope outside the depths of winter.
The slope is currently being modernised — slalom training starts after the reopening in the 2026/2027 season. What exactly is changing and when we return is described on the reopening page.
Slalom is not just going around gates. The foundation of training is technique: stance, edge work, carved turns, rhythm and timing. Only on that base do we set the gates — first single rhythm drills, then full timed runs.
This kind of training pays off everywhere: a child who trains slalom also skis more confidently and cleanly on regular mountain runs.
Sessions are led by the Zone4 team — PZN-licensed instructors. Some of our staff compete in Inline Alpine (slalom on roller skates) and Skatecross events — so they know slalom from the competitive side: course setting, run tactics and chasing hundredths of a second, not just the theory.
Outside the ski season, slalom is trained… on roller skates. Inline Alpine is a dynamic slalom between poles — precision, edge work and rhythm, exactly the skills that transfer to skis. Summer training is run by the Zone4Rollin sports section in Warsaw parks.
This lets a young slalom skier train all year round: on skis in winter, on skates in summer — and for children aiming at year-round development we have the ski club.
Above all for children and teens who already ski independently and want more than recreational runs. If your child is just starting out, the natural path is first kids ski lessons or group classes — and slalom once they ski confidently on their own.
Adults who would like to work on technique and gates are also welcome to get in touch — we will take everyone interested into account when forming the groups.
The slalom groups are in preparation. The schedule, level split and prices will be announced before training starts in the 2026/2027 season — those on the interest list will hear first.
Leave your details — we will be in touch once we announce the slalom groups and dates.
