Getting to Szwajcaria Bałtowska

The Szwajcaria Bałtowska ski station is at Bałtów 8a, 27-423 Bałtów (Świętokrzyskie Province). Bałtów lies in the Kamienna river valley, about 15 km from Ostrowiec Świętokrzyski — the slope is part of the Bałtów Tourist Complex, so once you arrive just follow the complex signage.

Warsaw to Bałtów is about 190 km — around 2 hours by car. The simplest route is the S7 towards Radom, then national road 9 through Iłża towards Ostrowiec Świętokrzyski, turning onto local roads to Bałtów (follow signs to JuraPark) before Ostrowiec.

In winter allow extra time for the local stretch — the last kilometres run along district roads through the scenic, rolling Kamienna valley.

• Ostrowiec Świętokrzyski — about 15 km, a quarter of an hour; the nearest larger town,
• Radom — about an hour via road 9 through Iłża,
• Kielce — about 1 h 15 min via Ostrowiec Świętokrzyski,
• Lublin and Sandomierz — approach from the east through the Kamienna valley (Sandomierz about 40 km).

There are visitor car parks by the station and within the Bałtów Tourist Complex — in winter the spots closest to the slope fill up fastest on weekend mornings, so arrive early. Coaches of organised trips drive right up to the slope.

On one-day trips and winter day camps we organise transport from Warsaw: meeting at our Szczęśliwice base (Drawska 22), the journey under staff care and the return to the same spot. Equipment from our rental is handed out before departure — you start skiing the moment you arrive.
