Wide, gentle runs, 5 lifts and a slope groomed daily — Rybno near Łomża is one of the best places to learn to ski in north-eastern Poland. Everything worth knowing before you visit.
The Rybno Ski Station has operated since 2007 on the hills above the Narew valley, about 10 km from Łomża. The runs total about 2.3 km with a 55 m vertical drop — an ideal profile for learning and calmly refining technique:
Skiers are served by 5 lifts — platter and rope-tow — with an electronic pass system. Several parallel lifts spread the queues even at weekend peaks, and learners have their own slower lifts by the nursery slope.
The runs have artificial snowmaking, floodlights and daily grooming — in season you can ski after dark, and each morning the slope is freshly prepared. The season depends on the weather and usually lasts from December to early March.
Check current conditions with the station before you travel — and if you come with Zone4, we send all the information before departure.
There is an equipment rental and a food point by the slope, and parking is free. Zone4 trip participants get equipment from our own rental — skis or a board, boots and a helmet — handed out in Warsaw, so on site you head straight for the slope. Prices are in the price list.
We run ski lessons and snowboard lessons here — privately and in small groups. Our one-day trips run from Warsaw: 2×2 h of training in groups of up to 6 with an all-day ski pass included.
Directions and parking are described on the getting there page.
