Ski lessons — Rybno Ski Station

Zone4 ski training at the Rybno slope near Łomża. Wide, gentle, snow-covered runs are ideal conditions for first descents and refining technique — for children from 4 and adults.

Why Rybno is a great place to learn

The Rybno Ski Station is known for wide, gentle runs — exactly what a learner needs. A 55 m vertical drop and about 2.3 km of runs give space for a longer, flowing descent without intimidating steepness.

  • a gentle run profile — mental comfort for beginners,
  • artificial snowmaking, grooming and floodlights — predictable conditions all season,
  • short queues and an intimate atmosphere — more descents during training,
  • a longer slope than in the city — the natural step after learning at Górka Szczęśliwicka.

What Zone4 training at Rybno looks like

Most often we train on one-day trips from Warsaw: two 2-hour sessions with an instructor, in level-matched groups of up to 6 — from complete beginners to intermediate. An all-day ski pass is included, and between sessions there is time for free riding.

Private lessons at the Rybno slope are also possible — arranged in advance. Call or write and we will match an instructor and time.

Equipment and preparation

We have our own rental — skis, boots and helmets in a full size range. On trips we hand the equipment out in Warsaw, so you skip the queues; the station also runs its own rental. We do not rent clothing — prepare warm, waterproof clothes, gloves and goggles yourself.

Frequently asked questions

How much do ski lessons at Rybno cost?
A one-day trip from Warsaw with 2×2 h of training and an all-day ski pass costs from PLN 399/person. The price of a private lesson on site is agreed when booking — call or write.
Is Rybno suitable for complete beginners?
Yes — the wide, gentle runs are some of the best learning conditions in north-eastern Poland. Complete beginners can join a smaller "from zero" group (up to 4 people).
From what age do you teach children?
From the age of 4. The youngest learn through play, with technique introduced gradually.
Do I need my own skis?
No. For a trip add-on (PLN 60) you can rent skis, boots and a helmet from us — handed out in Warsaw before departure. The station also runs its own rental.
How many lessons do I need to start skiing?
Most adults ski independently in a snowplough after 3–5 lessons, and first parallel turns usually come after 8–12 lessons. Children learn faster. A training day at Rybno (4 h with an instructor) is a big leap forward.
Where exactly is the slope and how do I get there?
The Rybno Ski Station lies in the village of Rybno near Łomża (Rybno 16, 18-400 Łomża), about 130 km from Warsaw — under 2 hours via the S8/S61. On trips we offer transport from Warsaw (PLN 70), or you can drive yourself.
